Why you should have apple cider vinegar in your kitchen, bathroom & laundry Why you should have apple cider vinegar in your kitchen, bathroom & laundry

When it comes to Apple Cider Vinegar, I must admit I’m a late bloomer. I know celebs all over have been professing its dieting to detoxing marvels for ages but for me, the thought of drinking vinegar, well, didn’t go down too easy!

Fast forward to 2 weeks ago …

After suffering a bout of tonsillitis, the magical apple cider vinegar came up repeatedly as a remedy due to its natural, antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, immunity boosting properties so at the chance of alleviating the pain, I was happy to drink anything, even vinegar.

Biona Organic Apple Cider Vinegar 750ml

Now that I’m all better again, I’m officially an ACV convert and fan (that’s apple cider vinegar for all you other newbies out there) and think that ACV is officially* the Queen of Vinegars.

At Wholesome Hub we stock and home deliver Biona Apple Cider Vinegar as it’s organic, raw and unfiltered so all the good stuff goes into your belly.

Biona ACV also contains mother which are strands of proteins, enzymes and friendly bacteria that give the product a (good) cloudy appearance. Unlike some ACV’s, our Biona mother is not one big clump that can end up in your glass but rather tiny little pieces which means when shaken, creates a lovely balanced drink every time.

If you still need more convincing, here’s why apple cider vinegar is so good:

1. Balance your body

After a big night out, the next morning dilute a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of warm water, drink up and balance that pH. Your liver and digestive system will love you.

2. Ease your sore throat

This one I can vouch for! Mix a few tablespoons with organic, raw honey in a glass of warm water and give your throat a good time. Free double hit with the honey!

3. Kill off your (or someone else’s) warts

Before you go to bed, soak a small piece of cotton in apple cider vinegar, place over your wart and stick a band aid over it; put papaw ointment around it to stop leakage. Repeat nightly. There’s testimonials on the interwebs saying this can be sore and that sometimes it works in a few days or weeks. We’d love to know if this works! Maybe we’ll never know as, you know, none of us have warts?

4. Get rid of your dandruff

Dilute a few tablespoons in a cup of water and pour into a bottle, then massage into your scalp weekly and rinse. Everyone’s hair is different so see how often it works for you.

5. Detox your home

Add a cup of apple cider vinegar to 3L of warm water and clean away. This natural antibacterial cleaner will work on most surfaces, floorboards and tiles.

Drink well, drink Biona Apple Cider Vinegar!
